چکیده

The anisotropic e ects on the dynamical phases of a vortex lattice driven by a uniform Lorentz force are investigated by numerical simulations. A square array of columnar defects is represented by a periodic pinning potential. We assume that ow is elastic, so that the vortex-vortex interactions can be represented by elastic forces. V-I characteristics and mean-square displacements and velocities for di erent orientations of the driving force are calculated. It is found that, for a wide range of driving force magnitude and orientation, the vortex lattice is transversely pinned in high symmetry directions of the pinning potential. In addition, the transverse pinned vortex lattice is thermally depinned at high enough temperatures.

Vortex–lattice guided motion on isotropic and anisotropic artificial pinning landscapes

Vortex–lattice dynamics has been studied in superconducting Nb thin films with periodic arrays of magnetic pinning centers. Magnetotransport measurements have been used to study vortex–lattice velocity as a function of the in-plane direction of the driving force. This has been done for samples with arrays of decreasing anisotropy, from rectangular arrays (two-fold symmetry) to square arrays (fo...

Vortex ratchet reversal at fractional matching fields in kagomélike array with symmetric pinning centers

Arrays of Ni nanodots embedded in Nb superconducting films have been fabricated by sputtering and electron-beam lithography techniques. The arrays are periodic triangular lattices of circular Ni dots arranged in a kagomélike pattern with broken reflection symmetry. Relevant behaviors are found in the vortex lattice dynamics: i at values lower than the first integer matching field, several fract...

Vortex-lattice dynamics with channeled pinning potential landscapes

We have studied vortex-lattice dynamics as a function of driving force direction, in superconducting Nb films with periodic pinning arrays of magnetic dots. Square and rectangular symmetry arrays define channels that guide the vortex-lattice motion. We investigated the effect of the driving force direction on the commensurability between the vortex-lattice and dots array. We also studied the tr...

Josephson Current For a Graphene Nanoribbon Using a Lattice Model

A tight binding approach based on the Bogoliubov-de Gennes approach has been used to calculate the DC Josephson current for a lattice model for S-GNR-S junctions , for short junctions with respect to superconducting coherence length. We calculate the phase, length, width and chemical potential dependence at the Josephson junction and discuss the similarities and differences with regard to the t...
